Scam Alert
2025-11-03T00:56:04.334Z1. The From Spoofing Scam It starts innocently. You get a private message from someone claiming to represent a major crypto exchange or listing platform such as KuCoin, OKX, or Coinstore. They will say things like: “We reviewed your project and want to discuss listing opportunities.” They sound polite and professional. They always ask for your official email which you will give willingly, you will receive an official email from whatsoever exchange they intent to use. This will convince you because it will be the exact original email. They avoid names like Binance, Gate.io, or MEXC, because they know you will be suspicious. Those exchanges never message people directly for listings. 2. The Hook (The “Official” Email) You have verified that this is official email of the X exchange . Inside the email is a “confidential partnership proposal” or a “token listing form.” But there is a Telegram link at the end. “Please continue verification with our listing team here 👉 [t.me/YourProjectListingSupport]” That is where the real danger begins. 3. The Exploit (Telegram Verification Trap) Once you click that Telegram link, you will land in a group or chat that looks official. It will have banners, bots, and admins that match the fake brand identity. They will ask you to verify your identity or connect your wallet for token validation. Sometimes they will send you a file to “sign” a partnership agreement (it is actually a malicious file). Other times, they will send a Google Form requesting: • Your private key disguised as “token verification” • Your contract ownership address • Or access to your project’s multi-sig wallet Once you comply or connect, they will drain your wallet, steal your project funds, or take over your contract. Your name and your project will be sorry. 4. How to Protect Yourself 🔒 • ✅ Never click Telegram links from unsolicited DMs or emails. • ✅ Always verify the sender’s email by clicking reply to and watch the email address that is receiving the reply. Or copy out the official email dormain and send the reply directly. • ✅ Real exchanges never DM or request private keys. • ✅ Use a cold wallet for all project admin roles. • ✅ Report suspicious accounts or scam immediately to @notrustscamreport on Telegram. 💀 Final Words Scammers are getting smarter. Their designs, tone, and even verification bots look professional. But no real exchange will ever DM you for a listing, ask for wallet verification, or send you a Telegram link through email. Once you click that link, it is game over. Stay alert. Stay skeptical. Protect your code, your wallet, and your reputation.
